i dreamt about you last night
out in the snow
lips blue with frost
the ice princess of death
was trying to kiss you
glare off the snow
blinds me
my focus blurs
and you are lost yet again
flakes fall
from dark skies
i look up towards you
shining from above
snow melts quickly
water receding from lakes
you are getting too close
charred skin and blisters
i push away, kicking furiously
the shore disappears
gentle water engulfs me
and i am at peace
with you
